JACK MESSITT

Jack Messitt is an award-winning Screenwriter whose work has been seen across the globe with Hwuai Brothers’ thriller Control, TF1 produced thriller Trust, and Bigfoot Entertainment’s award-winning horror film Midnight Movie - Jack’s directorial debut.
He is also a veteran cameraman on TV shows like Scandal, Mixed-ish and Bones, Jack is currently a Camera Operator on Fox’s 911: Lonestar.
Jack’s screenplay Control was produced by China's Huayi Brothers Media. Translated into Chinese, the thriller was directed by acclaimed director Kenneth Bi (The Drummer, Girl$), starring Daniel Wu (Tomb Raider), Yao Chen, Ady An and Simon Yam. Jack retains the non-Chinese language production rights.
Trust was produced by TF1 International. The thriller starring Jamie Luner (Melrose Place, All My Children) has shown on Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network, Movie Central and the numerous TF1 networks throughout international markets.
Midnight Movie, Jack’s directorial debut, won Best Feature Film at the Chicago Horror Film Festival. After a successful DVD/ Blu- Ray release, it aired extensively on Showtime, The Movie Channel and Chiller TV. Jack’s work as a Camera Operator includes hundreds of hours of television including ABC's Scandal, Mixed-ish and Black-ish, NBC's Extant, and Fox's Bones and American Idol. Jack is currently working on 911: Lonestar starring Rob Lowe.
His DP credits include Ion Television’s upcoming film The Christmas Witness, the 2018 and 2019 MTV Movie Awards short films, 2nd unit on ABC’s Station 19 and Fox’s Bones, and the independent features Irreversi, Girl With No Number and The Curiosity of Chance (all currently available on Amazon Prime).
