Due to certain traumatic experiences in his life, he found himself drawn to exploring the relationship people have during, and after, their most difficult moments. His work often deals with themes of trauma, addiction, racism, and the search damaged people have for connection.
Michail loves rock climbing, reading fantasy books and comics, winning board games, and explaining to the unaware why pigeons are the worst. He was recently delighted to find that his football team, Chelsea FC, is no longer garbage, and has started watching the Premier League with enjoyment, rather than his usual dread.
