Matthew Currie Holmes is a multi-award-winning screenwriter, director, and actor; having appeared in over 40 films and television series, most notably FIREWALL (Harrison Ford), THE FOG (Maggie Grace) and WRONG TURN 2 (Henry Rollins).
Currie Holmes’ feature film directorial debut, the supernatural thriller THE CURSE OF BUCKOUT ROAD, starring screen legend Danny Glover (LETHAL WEAPON series), Evan Ross (HUNGER GAMES: MOCKING JAY) and Dominique Provost-Chalkley (WYNONNA EARP, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON), Henry Czerny (CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 1,7) and Colm Feore (THOR, UMBRELLA ACADEMY).
THE CURSE OF BUCKOUT ROAD won the Best Feature Film at The Pasadena International Film Festival , Best Feature & Best Screenplay at both Blood in The Snow Film Fest and Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival, as well as Best Thriller at Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival. Currie Holmes recently wrote, directed and composed the title track to TRACES, a coming-of-age drama set in the ever-changing world of the music industry. The movie stars Pablo Schreiber (HALO, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), Sosie Bacon (13 REASONS WHY) and rock ’n’ roll icon Rick Springfield (TRUE DETECTIVE).
Matthew Currie Holmes has developed a deep slate of high-concept film and television properties in the horror, sci-fi and action genres.
