As a writer, René's first feature film, the romantic comedy, BE MY BABY starring herself and Lacey Chabert, aired on the TV Guide channel for three years and is available on DVD and television worldwide. In 2010, she had three feature scripts optioned, which lead her to form her own production company, Abundant Media, LLC.
Since then, René has written, as well as produced, three award-winning spec television pilots/short films. ACTORS ANONYMOUS, starring René, Sally Kirkland and Lorenzo Lamas won the 3 festivals entered, including an offer for a development deal with VH1. MILF MONEY, starring René, Missi Pyle, and Deena Dill won 10 out of 13 festivals entered. THE DONOR stars Alan Thicke, Missi Pyle, David Liesure, Simon Rex, and René.
